Frances E. Daley
January 30, 1924 – May 7, 2018
Frances Evelyn Daley 1924-2018 Frances (Fran) Daley, 94, of Orleans, MA passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 7, 2018. Born in East Orleans, MA on January 30, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Viola (Snow) Darling. She was previously married to the late George Rongner and the late Marston Daley. She is survived by her son Robert Rongner and his wife Betty of Palm Springs, CA, daughter Karen Neal and husband David of Sandwich, MA, and son Marston Daley, Jr of Los Angeles, CA. Fran is also survived by grandson Stephen Rongner-Cook and his wife Carrie and great-grandson Andrew of Berwyn, PA; grandson Michael Rongner and his wife Nancy Jo and great-grandson Malone and great-granddaughter Lola of Holyoke, MA; and several nieces and nephews. A proud native Cape Codder and graduate of Orleans High School, class of 1941, Fran would often tell stories of her youth when she and a girlfriend would walk a mile into town to see a movie and then home again without any concern for safety. One to enjoy simple pleasures in life, she would also like to lay on the grass on warm summer evenings and simply enjoy the sight of an immense universe. Not one to sit back on the sidelines, Fran used to love dancing, dining with family and friends, and admiring her energetic and devoted grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Special thanks to Mom’s lifelong friend Dolly Walter for her companionship and support. Mom lived a full life and will be dearly missed but precious memories will last forever. Following a private graveside service, a Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at the Federated Church in East Orleans, MA at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 16th. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the American Heart Association. For online condolences, please visit www.nickersonfunerals.com .

I have always been grateful for Fran's loving care towards her grandsons, Stephen and Michael, and her great grandchildren, Malone, Andrew, and Lola. Many treasured memories of Fran with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, as they watched the Fourth of July parades, take a happy place in my memory bank. Fran, my cherished, mother-like friend, I will be eternally grateful for our time together.
