

Margaret Guyer, a long-time resident of the lower Cape, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, the 24th of January. Born in Cuffley, England in 1925, she grew up with her sister Nan and attended secretarial school in 1943 as a young adult. Working at the British Consulate in Romania and later Frankfurt, Germany, she met and married Arthur Guyer and together they had four children and made their life in Europe until 1968 - living in France, England, Italy and Germany.
After re-settling in the US, Margaret enjoyed work as an secretary on Cape Cod at Cape Associates and the Cape Codder newspaper. Margaret also had her own knitting business and was editor on the church newspaper. She loved good food, enjoyed Bridge with friends and travel, as well as tennis in her younger years. Her final years were spent at the Woodlands in Brewster, where she was well cared for. She is survived by four children, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She will be missed.
