Gerald Fink, 71

Gerald Fink passed away at his home on January 21, 2020 with his wife Barbara by his side.

Gerry grew up in Windsor, Connecticut and worked for 33 years at B&W Printing Supplies Inc. in West Hartford and finished his career at Connecticut Metallurgical Inc. in East Hartford as a Laboratory Technician.

With his wife, Barbara, he retired in Eastham, Massachusetts. They often traveled to New Hampshire to visit his daughter and grandchildren.

Gerry was an enthusiastic Lionel Train Collector and a member of the Nauset Model Train Club in Orleans. His favorite trip of the year was to attend the York Train Show with friends.

Gerry enjoyed walking the flats at First Encounter Beach and fishing Cape Cod Bay with his cousins, Ralph, Bob and Peter and godson, Robert. Gerry and his son Michael fanatically fished every pond in Eastham and the family had many adventures kayaking or taking the “snow goose” to the outer beach. Some of the families’ favorite memories occurred around the fire pit, sharing stories.

Gerry was predeceased by his son Michael A. Fink. He leaves his wife, Barbara; daughter, Alyson Iarrusso and husband Kevin Iarrusso of Hampton, NH; grandchildren, Emma Ladd and Giovanni Iarrusso; sister, Sandra Reinke and husband Peter Reinke of Vernon, CT; nieces, Michelle Neblett of Arlington, VA and Kristin Reinke MacLaughlan of Boston; brother in-law, Tony Baluk of Coventry, CT and many Cape Cod Cousins as well as Family & Friends.

Gerry was a helpful friend to all who needed him, a dedicated grandfather and a loving husband of 47 years. In lieu of flowers please send donations in memory of Gerry N. Fink to the Nauset Model Train Club, checks can be made out to: Nauset Model Railroad Club 180 MA-6A, Orleans, MA 02653.

A Celebration of Life will be held May 30, 2020 in Eastham. For online condolences, please visit www.nickersonfunerals.com.
