Glenn passed away at his home with his wife Judy, son Darryl, son Justin, and daughter Amy by his side on Wednesday, 10/1, after a long hard 4 year battle with cancer. Glenn was a devote Christian that left this world with a smile to be with The Lord. He is also survived by his 4 grandchildren Johanna (3), Audrey (3), Benjamin (2), Elijah (1) and his mother Vera.
Glenn was born in New York City to Vera and James Plimpton. He moved to Orleans at age of 11 and always called the Cape home. Glenn loved sailing the Cape Cod waters, and knew them better then anyone. Anyone on the pleasant bay waters was sure to find Glenn on his Hawaiian blue Wianno Senior with a wave and smile.
He graduated from Gordon College with physics degree and later a masters degree from BU. He later served his county as an officer in Navy, and working on advance radar defense systems in the private sector. He had a successful career that spanned over 3 decades working military defense system.
Glenn will always be remembered for his love of boating, physics, and dedication to his family.
His visitation will be held Sunday, October 5, 2014 from 1pm to 2 pm with his service at 2:00 p.m. in Church of the Nazarene, 209 Upper County Rd, South Dennis, MA 02660. Burial will follow in Orleans Cemetery. For online condolences, please visit www.nickersonfunerals.com
