

BREWSTER - Heinz J. Werner, accomplished career counselor, devoted husband, godfather and friend died on September 1, 2012 with his wife Lore at his side.
Born in Germany, Dr. Werner found his way to Cape Cod following a series of positions in business and advertising throughout Europe, Australia and the US. In an effort to help himself and others, Dr. Werner completed his undergraduate and graduate degrees, including his PhD in psychology through study at Columbia University, New York University and Anna Maria College. He was a Diplomate and Board Certified by American Psychotherapist Association, licensed Mental Health Counselor, and a Master of Handwriting Analysis.
Using his extensive business experience, his expertise in handwriting analysis and other assessment techniques, Dr. Werner established a practice for career counseling serving employers and individuals throughout the United States. His passion and joy was to use his learned expertise to empower each person’s uniqueness and talent to help them make the most of their lives. He shared generously.
Heinz was a devout Christian and dedicated to living his life through Jesus Christ. He loved to sing in choral groups and was previously active with The Gideons, Rotary, and Masons.
He is survived by Lore, his beloved wife of 39 years, and a goddaughter, Heather Bienz, her husband Scott and sons Michael and Evann of Mattapoisett.
A celebration of Heinz’ life will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1883 Main Street, Brewster, MA 02631 at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday September 5, 2012. Burial will be private.
