Jeremy James Whitcomb passed away peacefully on July 5, 2026, at the age of 53. Born in Norway, Maine, on August 30, 1972, he was the beloved son of Nancy Whitcomb and the late Christopher Whitcomb. Jeremy's passing comes just months after the loss of his father, Christopher, who passed away in April 2026.
After graduating from Nauset Regional High School in 1991, where he was a Hall of Fame athlete in basketball, baseball, and soccer, Jeremy earned his pharmacy degree from the University of Connecticut. He became a licensed pharmacist in 1996 and devoted more than 20 years to caring for others through a career defined by compassion, integrity, and a genuine desire to help people.
Above all else, Jeremy was happiest on the water, surrounded by family and friends who meant the world to him. An avid fisherman, he held a lifelong love for Cape Cod and often reminisced about his teenage years working as a first mate aboard the Columbia out of Rock Harbor. Cape Cod Bay was his favorite place to fish, a place where he found both peace and joy throughout his life. Nothing brought Jeremy greater joy than sharing those passions with his children. He delighted in teaching Henry, James, Mia, and Charlie the art of boating, the excitement of fishing, and his love of soccer and basketball. Whether spending summer days on Nauset Beach, listening to his favorite music, or cheering on his favorite Boston sports teams, Jeremy found his greatest happiness in the company of those he loved.
Jeremy lived with an infectious optimism and a generous heart. His warmth, kindness, and unwavering encouragement left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. He had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcome, valued, and supported, and the friendships he built over the years were a testament to the life he lived.
Jeremy is survived by his loving mother, Nancy Whitcomb; his sister, Kelly Whitcomb; his brother, Christopher Whitcomb, and sister-in-law, Monica Whitcomb. He also leaves behind his beloved children, Henry Whitcomb and Henry's mother, Colleen Klaus; and James, Charles, and Mia Whitcomb and their mother, Katie Noon. He is also survived by his cherished nieces and nephews, Regan and Shay Langley; Karis, Christopher, and Charlotte Whitcomb; and Leo Logan, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will deeply miss him.
A Funeral Mass will be held on August 1st at 11:00 am at St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church in Orleans, MA.
A celebration of Jeremy's life will be held at The Whitcomb Residence at 142 Rock Harbor road in Orleans immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jeremy's memory may be made to a college savings fund for his three children James, Mia and Charles Whitcomb. https://go.fidelity.com/qa2yan
