

Kimberly Kiely passed away unexpectedly on October 8 in Brewster, MA at the age of 64. Born in Providence, RI, Kim was the youngest of four children of the late C. Edward and Esther Kiely of Providence and Chatham, MA. She is survived by her son Kristian Lucashensky of Charleston, SC, and her daughter Olivia Lucashensky of Quincy, MA. She was the ex-wife of the late Luke Lucashensky. She is survived by her siblings, Neil Kiely of Barrington, RI, Karen Bartlett of Westport, MA and Kathy Seifert of Alexandria, VA.
Kim graduated from Hobart-William Smith College and received her master's in social work from Simmons College. Her career as a clinical therapist (LICSW) included both private practice as well as work in treatment centers in the field of substance abuse and addiction. Kim was a friend to everyone she met, and her innate love and compassion for others was a true gift to the many people she encountered, both professionally and personally, throughout her life. Kim faced many health challenges over the course of her life yet met each with remarkable strength and grace. Her resilience and ability to push through difficult times was extraordinary and an example to others facing hardships in their own lives.
Kim will be missed by the many people whose lives she touched, but her light will continue to shine on. Calling hours will be held at Nickerson Funeral Home 77 Eldredge Park Way Orleans, MA on Tuesday October 17 from 4-6pm. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am on Wednesday October 18 at Our Lady of Victory church, 230 So. Main St. Centerville, MA
Donations may be made in Kim's name to Community Blessings Foundation, a RI based 501c3 which offers assistance for multiple levels of recovery care to those struggling with substance abuse and other co-occurring mental health disorders, especially women and children.
