Lawrence R. Souther

Lawrence R. Souther, 58, of North Eastham, passed away at Cape Cod Hospital on Thursday, December 20, 2012 after a long illness. He was born on April 21, 1954 in Weymouth. He was the son of Barbara (Valli) Souther and the late Richard Souther of Wellfleet. Larry attended Norwell and Nauset schools. During his working years Larry was a commercial fisherman, carpenter, and a boat builder at Nauset Marine. He was an artist and an avid model boat builder. He also loved his cats Frankie and Ozzie who were his constant companions.

He is survived by his wife Deidre Souther and his daughter Katherine Souther, both of North Eastham,daughter Sadie Souther, and sons Jared Souther and Victor Souther . He also leaves behind his mother Barbara Souther, his sisters, Judy Taylor, and Kathy Souther, sister-in-laws Kathy, Pam, and Jane Tomkinson. He is also survived by 3 nephews and many cousins, aunts, and uncles. Larry was predeceased by his father and also by his brother Richard Souther.

Larry’s family would like him to be remembered for his humor, intelligence, and artistic abilities.
