Gabe Jackson and Carol Shovelier, and her forever love, Todd Higgins. She was a graduate of Nauset Regional High School.
Childhood was filled with adventure and imagination, exploring the woods, being creative and marching band.
At first, moving to the Cape was a sad time for Lisa. No more marching band. Loss of friends. But then there were horses, Shaggy and Mr. Chips. There was more music, first chair clarinet, then Todd. The love of her life.
Lisa loved with all her heart. She would take in a stray and love it to the end. She was an adventurer. After obtaining her Captain’s license, she traveled the waters by sail and saw the planet. She was an accomplished rescue scuba diver. She overcame obstacles and had a successful business restoring boats. Lisa was a very talented artist, from drawing to sewing miniature fur bears.
Lisa overcame many losses and physical issues during her life. She rode wild and free giving full rein out on the flats of cold storage beach. With the dog Cookie struggling to keep up and her
mom following behind. She should be remembered riding Harley and Shag into the sunset, laughing and glowing with joy.
Donations in her name can be made to Hammersmith Farm:
