

Lucetta Roura Williamson died on December 21st, 2015, in Middlebury, Vermont after a brief illness at the age of 94. She was surrounded by her children. Lucie was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert Adrian Williamson and son Thomas Paul Williamson. Born in Ridgewood, New Jersey on April 21, 1921, she was the fourth daughter of Paul Beekman Roura and Lucetta Tiebout Davies. She graduated from Ridgewood High School and from Connecticut College in 1943. During World War II she worked in Washington D.C. decoding Japanese messages. After the war, she returned to Ridgewood and married Bob, a fellow Ridgewood resident. Bob and Lucie built a home in Saddle River, New Jersey where they lived for 35 years and raised their children. After retiring, they divided their time between Middlebury, Vermont and Eastham, Massachusetts.
Lucie loved being a mother and was devoted to her family. Time spent on Cape Cod was precious to her. Other interests included playing the piano, all types of music, travel, and her dogs. She loved all things British.
Lucie leaves behind her children: son Robert A. Williamson, daughter-in-law Christina, and grandchildren Carly, Hayley, and Diane of Orleans, MA; daughter Susan W. Klein, son-in-law Ernest, and granddaughter Olivia of Boston, MA; daughter Lucetta Lee Williamson and grandchildren Lucy and Henry of Hooksett, NH; and daughter Joan W. Reese, son-in-law John and grandson John of Atlanta, GA., as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Lucie may be made to Addison County Home Health and Hospice (Addison County, Vermont). There will be a memorial gathering in the summer.
