Eastham, MA--It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lydon Johnson, 23, who died unexpectedly at Cape Cod hospital on Saturday, Sept 27, 2025. Lydon was a 2020 graduate of Nauset High School and was not one bit saddened that Covid derailed his senior classes.
Lydon is survived by his parents, Carl and Kathleen (Butler) Johnson, along with his aunt Maryanne Johnson, and the many aunts, uncles, and cousins on the Butler side. He also leaves a special cousin, Elena, his longtime childhood friend Heather, his besties: Casey and Elaine, and his beloved cat, Timmy.
Lydon was a lover of Disney World and of cheesy community carnivals. He got his start on gaming with his first version of Mario Cart! He was an avid concert goer with tickets to his next show already downloaded to his phone. In his younger days, Lydon was fortunate to spend some quality beach time with Amelia and her family. More recently, Lydon was extremely happy at his position at Cape Cod Oil, where he was appreciated for his positive attitude and kindness.
Lydon’s heart and giving spirit were huge! Quite often, he’d be the first person to make contributions to GoFundMe causes. His family and friends will always cherish Lydon’s commitment to championing the underdog. He believed whole heartedly that every individual should be treated with fairness, dignity and respect.
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours held on October 22, 2025 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm at Nickerson Funeral Home, 77 Eldredge Park Way, Orleans, MA 02653.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the MSPCA Centerville in Lydon’s honor.
