After graduating college she volunteered to teach at the local parish school in Las Cruces, NM. There she met her husband, 1st Lt James (Jim) Foster Forren, on a group blind date set up by the local pastor and White Sands Missile Range base chaplain. In 1972 she settled with her husband in Olney, MD where they lived for thirty years, returning to Wellfleet every summer.
She taught middle school in Greenbelt, MD and was an active member of St. Peter’s Parish in Olney, MD where she served as St. Peter’s Director of Religious Education after receiving her Masters of Religious Education from the Catholic University of America, Wash., D.C. Marguerite and Jim retired to Brewster, MA in 2003 where she was an active member of St. Joan of Arc Parish, Captain’s Course Nine Holers, and St Joan’s women's guild.
Marguerite is survived by her husband Jim, son James (and his wife Jacinte) of Halifax, Nova Scotia; and siblings Paul (and his wife Kathy) of Port Charlotte, FL; Robert (and his wife June) of Dedham, MA; Charlie (and his wife Mary) of Newburyport, MA; and Mary (and her husband Andrew) of Lynnfield, MA; and numerous loving nieces, nephews and grand -nieces and -nephews.
