Mark was a gentle soul who always looked for the best in people. Highly intelligent, he got his degree in biology from Hofstra University in NY. But, the arts were his major passion. He loved and wrote poetry, and experimented with different art forms through out his life, including acrylic, watercolor and collage. His favorite poet was Robert Frost, and he often recited famous poems, by memory, at community gatherings. Spending his formative years in New York, he returned to his family roots in New England where he had many fond memories of summers with aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents. Settling in Cape Cod in 2002 he discovered two new “families.”—The wonderful members (and true friends) of his morning AA group and the kind residents of 11 Frederick Court who looked out for him and always made him feel included. Both he and his sister are eternally grateful for the support they both provided in his later years.
