CHATHAM – Mary V. Jordan died peacefully June 15 at Liberty Commons after a period of declining health.
She was born February 10, 1914 in Boston, MA to John and Mary Parlon. She graduated from Boston Teachers College in 1935 and taught special needs students in the Boston Public School system.
Mary and Ed Jordan were married in 1954. They traveled extensively managing private clubs in Bermuda, Wianno, Lake Wales, FL, Grosse Pointe, Mich., Yellowstone Park, and the Board Room in NYC.
Mary was a faithful member of Holy Redeemer Catholic church in Chatham, MA. She was an avid golfer winning awards at the Eastward Ho Country Club where she and Ed were members for almost 40 years.
Ed died in 1997. Mary was also predeceased by her parents, siblings Clarissa Dunlea, Helena Taft, William Parlon, Charles Parlon, and John Parlon. She will be missed by her many friends, nieces nephews, and sister in law, Phyllis Parlon of Falmouth, MA.
Mary and her family would like to thank Father Scales and the Eucharistic Ministers of Holy Redeemer Church, the staff of Liberty Commons and Dr. Halliday for their compassionate care.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11am on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Chatham, MA.
