

Mary Justine Nardini, beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2025, at the age of 83 in her home with her family in Eastham, Massachusetts. Born on February 3, 1942, in Meriden, Connecticut, Mary lived a life of accomplishment, service, and love.
Mary's academic journey began at Lyman Hall High School, where she excelled as valedictorian. Her passion for learning led her to Saint Lawrence University in New York, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She broke new ground as the first woman to work as a research chemist at General Electric in Upstate New York, a testament to her pioneering spirit and dedication to her field. Later, she joined her husband, Dr. Michael Nardini, D.D.S., in managing his dental practice, showcasing her versatility and unwavering support.
Deeply committed to her community, Mary was an active member of several organizations, including the Nauset Newcomers, the Garden Club, the Red Hat Society, and the Hospital Auxiliary. Her generous and caring nature touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on those who knew her.
Mary was a moderately religious person with a strong Catholic faith that guided her throughout her life. Her belief in love, kindness, and charity was reflected in her everyday actions and relationships.
Mary was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Michael Nardini, her parents Joseph and Frances Coss and her brother in - law Hugh McLaughlin. She is survived by her sister Marcella McLaughlin, her daughter Michelina Nardini, her grandchildren Ashley-Mary Guinen and her husband Chris Guinen, Cameron Oleniczak, Ciara Taylor, her three great grandsons Jordan Hindle, Matthew Nardini-Fountaine, and Kasen Burt and her amazing extended family fillies with so many people who cared and loved her. Her legacy lives on through them and the countless lives she touched.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a Celebration of Life for Mary with a wake on Tuesday, May 27th from 5 pm to 7 pm at Nickerson Funeral Home in Orleans, MA. A funeral service will be held on May 28th at 11 am at St. Joan of Arc in Orleans, MA, where we will celebrate Mary's life and bid farewell to a remarkable woman.
As we bid farewell to Mary, we find solace in the words, "The stars are now your new home, where peace and tranquility embrace you." Her spirit will forever shine brightly in our hearts, guiding us with the warmth and love she so generously shared.
