ORLEANS--Michael E. Levine was only 69 when he died peacefully in his sleep. Born in Brooklyn, NY, July 3, 1963, he came to Cape Cod after first attending Brooklyn College and then a short stint in the Air Force.
As a young man, he became a talented leather craftsman and spent most of his life designing and selling fine leather goods in his own store in Provincetown, MA on Cape Cod.
Michael was a lifelong learner. He studied physics, calculus, the universe, music, and history of ancient scholars. His favorite scientist was Albert Einstein. He was writing a mystery novel as well as a science book when he died.
He is survived by his wife Sally (Dion) Levine and her daughter Debbie Peavey and husband Dan DeWitt of Western Mass; 2 granddaughters Zoey and Mia, now in NY; and his sister Bonnie Boynton in Florida; and last: his precious golden retriever Max (named after James Clerk Maxwell).
