

HARWICH – Patricia M. Linton, 75, passed away on May 29th, 2011 at the Mary McCarthy Care Center in Sandwich, MA after a brave battle with thyroid cancer. Patricia was predeceased by her loving husband of 28 years, Robert J. Linton. She was the daughter of the late Clyde and Marion (Sullivan) Andrews.
Patricia was born in Boston, MA and attended Nazareth High School in South Boston, and graduated ahead of her class from Boston Clerical School. She worked for White Weld & Co., (right out of school) and later was secretary for the Superintendent Of Schools in Sudbury. She also worked as an administrative assistant for the Bank of Boston in the Trust & Assets division, became a Certified Financial Planner and also worked in their Commercial Lending Dept. She had obtained her real estate license while working at Waystack Reality in Harwich. She worked most recently as an administrative assistant for Watson Realty in Florida . She was treasurer of St. Josephs Womens Guild in Needham for years. Patricia was a former Girl Scout leader and was a soloist for many years in the church choir. She belonged to Santa Maria Dell Mar Catholic Church in FL. She baked the best toll house cookies, and also loved going to the beach. She loved going on trips with friends, loved to sing and everybody who met her adored her.
Patricia was a huge sports fan. She loved the Boston Bruins, Red Sox and especially the New England Patriots. She was a huge Tiger Woods fan and thoroughly enjoyed watching his tournaments. She was also an avid fan of her grandchildren’s sports especially Barnstable Youth Hockey and the Barnstable Red Raiders. Most of all Patricia loved her children and grandchildren.
Patricia was predeceased by her brother Paul Andrews. She is survived by her three daughters: Susan Linton and her husband Ed Patton of Dennis, MA; Debbie Linton of Palm Coast, FL; and Janice Harrington and her husband Glen of Marstons Mills, MA; and her five grandchildren; Jessica, Robert and Richard Ormon; and Thomas and Jonathan Harrington; brother, Arthur Andrews, his wife Ann and their children of Norwood, MA.
Calling hours will take place from 4pm-7pm on Friday, June 3, 2011 at Nickerson Funeral Home, 77 Eldredge Park Way, Orleans, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11am on Saturday, June 4th, 2011 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Orleans, MA. A burial of ashes will follow immediately after in the Orleans Cemetery.
