

Patricia (MacLean) Vidakovich, 73, passed away suddenly from health issues on May 25, 2026. Born in Stoneham, Massachusetts, Patty lived a life defined by kindness, generosity, resilience, and a cutting sense of humor. She spent her formative years in Farmington Hills, Michigan and graduated from Eastern Michigan University. She had been employed as a social worker, a barber and an insurance agent. Patty cherished her family, friends, and animals and was a devoted sister, aunt and friend whose warmth touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Patty is survived by her husband of 48 years, Michael Vidakovich, her sister Katherine (MacLean) Slocum and her husband Marshall, sister-in-law Kathy ( Vidakovich) Socia and her husband Chuck, brother-in-law David Vidakovich and cherished nieces and nephews, including Jim Thelen and his wife Kara, Mac Slocum and his wife Jenny, Kelly (Slocum) Lancaster and her husband Scott, Nathan MacLean and his wife Kelly, Jamie (MacLean) Bercich, Blair (Vidakovich ) Kumm and Kara Vidakovich. She also leaves behind many beloved great nieces and nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents , Arthur I. MacLean and Ruth (Sutherland) MacLean, her brother Arthur I. MacLean Jr., and wife Denise (Quamby) MacLean.
Patty was known for her vibrant spirit, biting sense of humor, and love of life. She loved dancing to Motown with her sister, celebrating with family and friends, and creating lasting memories with those she loved. She had a special place in her heart for animals. Her quick wit, caring nature, and generous heart made her a treasured presence in the lives of many.
Family and friends are invited to honor Patty’s memory by sharing stories, photographs, and reflections that celebrate the joy she brought to others. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to an animal welfare, rescue, or wildlife conservation organization in Patty’s memory.
Patty’s legacy of love, laughter, compassion, and friendship will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
