Born in Dorchester, MA in 1930 she was the first child of Rose (Maurano) and James Fiore. She graduated from Boston Teachers College in 1957. Besides teaching she also worked as an Executive Assistant at Hibernia Savings Bank and the Stop and Shop Companies.
She lived in Quincy, MA for 25 years with her husband, J. Pierre Laberge (deceased) and her four children, James Laberge (Quincy,), Paula Laberge (Quincy), Anthony Laberge (Quincy) and Mark Laberge (Quincy) before moving to Brewster over 25 years ago. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Rachel Laberge and Kyle Laberge. Pauline was the sister of James Fiore of Lexington, Claire (Mace) of Kennebunkport and Peter Fiore of Braintree, MA. She was the loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
While living in Quincy she was an active member of the Marianne’s and St. Ann’s Church in Wollaston. Upon moving to Brewster she became active in the women’s guild at St. Joan of Arc Church in Orleans, MA. For many years she loved participating in the Mass as a lector and Eucharistic Minister.
Pauline enjoyed singing and playing the piano. She was an avid swimmer and spent many hours at the beach. She was an excellent seamstress and loved to knit. She and her husband spent many years traveling upon their retirement. One of her greatest joys was reconnecting with her relatives in Altamura, Italy and spending time with them on her many trips there.
Pauline will be laid to rest in a private ceremony on Tuesday, April 14th in Orleans, MA. A memorial service is planned for a later date.
