September 11, 1930April 6, 2020

Pauline L (Fiore) Laberge, 89, of Brewster, MA died at home on April 6, after a brief illness.

Born in Dorchester, MA in 1930 she was the first child of Rose (Maurano) and James Fiore. She graduated from Boston Teachers College in 1957. Besides teaching she also worked as an Executive Assistant at Hibernia Savings Bank and the Stop and Shop Companies.

She lived in Quincy, MA for 25 years with her husband, J. Pierre Laberge (deceased) and her four children, James Laberge (Quincy,), Paula Laberge (Quincy), Anthony Laberge (Quincy) and Mark Laberge (Quincy) before moving to Brewster over 25 years ago. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Rachel Laberge and Kyle Laberge. Pauline was the sister of James Fiore of Lexington, Claire (Mace) of Kennebunkport and Peter Fiore of Braintree, MA. She was the loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.

While living in Quincy she was an active member of the Marianne’s and St. Ann’s Church in Wollaston. Upon moving to Brewster she became active in the women’s guild at St. Joan of Arc Church in Orleans, MA. For many years she loved participating in the Mass as a lector and Eucharistic Minister.

Pauline enjoyed singing and playing the piano. She was an avid swimmer and spent many hours at the beach. She was an excellent seamstress and loved to knit. She and her husband spent many years traveling upon their retirement. One of her greatest joys was reconnecting with her relatives in Altamura, Italy and spending time with them on her many trips there.

Pauline will be laid to rest in a private ceremony on Tuesday, April 14th in Orleans, MA. A memorial service is planned for a later date.

To Pauline’s family

Your mom was an avid Monday morning Mah Jongg player in our group for years. We have missed her. She was a lovely lady with a great sense of humor and loved sharing stories of her family that she loved dearly. I am so sorry for your loss and know she is at peace with God and Pierre.

Peace be with you,

Carissimi James, Paula, Anthony and Mark!
The Pauline’s passing leaves all of us in great pain. Pauline was for us together mother, sister and irreplaceable friend. Thanks to her, our families have become one big family. The boundaries of time and space have been torn down. We have all relived the extraordinary story of our grandparents. It is her spiritual legacy. Now we have only the responsibility and duty to keep our homes even more united. It is what will make Pauline live forever.
With the hope to see you soon,
Yours
Antonio

Jimmy, Paula, Tony, Mark, Rachel and Kyle, May God give you all Grace and Mercy to navigate the days ahead without your mother and grandfather.

She was such a beautiful, creative, talented, and vivacious person.

I have no doubt that she is enjoying her Eternal reward with your dad (grandfather) and all of your relatives. May they all bless you and bring you closer in the days and months ahead.

I hope that we can all join in a day of celebration of your mother when this pandemic passes. Until then, I send my love and deepest sympathy.

Pauline was a beautiful and loving relative whom I first met when she visited our family in Crestwood with Paula in the 1960’s. We got to know each other again when Ellen Stanton initiated our wonderful weeks at the Cape. Pictures documented our fun together with the extended family, and I am so grateful for those times together. I want to extend my deepest sympathy to Pauline’s family and my prayers are with you all.
