She was born, November 30, 1927 in Frederick, Maryland and was a graduate of Miss Miller’s Private High School in Baltimore, Maryland.
An avid swimmer and lover of the sea, Peggy and her husband met on the shores of Ocean City, Maryland working summer jobs, before beginning their married life in Baltimore. They moved to Wayne, New Jersey in 1963 for her husband's work as a northeast sales manager with Standard Press Steel where they continued to raise three children. There they began a lifelong love for Cape Cod, which they discovered traveling to New England on family camping trips. Due to her husband’s declined health and forced retirement, they improvised, turning their love of people, history and art into a successful career as Antique Dealers refinishing furniture and traveling to sales shows. Semi-retiring to Cape Cod in 1972, Peggy worked as a saleswoman at the Gottland Horse/Moppett Shop and assisted neighbors, the Seneirvos’ at the Cape Cod Sea Camps for special events. Peggy participated as a member of such groups including the Brewster Garden Club, First Parish Brewster Women’s Alliance and as a cancer, charity fundraiser.
Peggy was predeceased by her husband of 38 years, John Robert Drach and brother, Bud Blessing of Wheaton, MD. She is survived by her sister, Ruby L.
