Peter D. Walker, of Eastham, MA passed peacefully at his home on February 15th 2019 surrounded by his family at the age of 83. Pete was born in Eastham, MA on June 20th 1935 to Howard and Natalie Walker – a true Cape Codder. After graduating Orleans High School, BU University and spending time in the U.S. Air Force, he married Carole Landers of Orleans, MA and built his lifelong home on his property in Eastham where they raised two children, Lori and Todd. After the passing of his first wife Carole in 1994, Pete met Judy Burt (Walker) and her daughter Abigail of Eastham. Pete and Judy were married in 1997 and spent the rest of his years happily together. Pete was a deeply spiritual man who became on ordained minister. He performed many weddings and funerals for friends and family members. He also spent much time at the St. Joan of Arc Church with his wife Judy. Pete’s true passion and hobby was working outside beautifying his home and property. He could often be found building gardens, rock walls, waterfalls, ponds and trimming and cutting his many trees. But most of all, Pete loved his family. He is survived by his wife Judy Walker, his sister Barbara Deschamps, his children Lori Walker, Todd Walker and Todd’s wife Kim Walker, step daughter Abbie Burt, his grandchildren Jared Walker, Josh Smith, Carolynn Walker, Wyatt Walker and many nieces, nephews, sister in-laws and brother in-laws. Right now I'm looking through the 1973/1974 photo album. Pete and Carole are there at the beach along with my mom (Nancy Fadely), my sister Cindy, and many other Highlanders. Wonderful memories. Lots of laughs!

I remember as a young man working under Peter at Nauset Marine after school . Peter had given me plenty to do as usual until he told me to come on out in the yard with the rest of the crew to check something out. Peter’s father Howard and his sidekick who he commercial fished with had just caught a great big halibut along with a lot of other fish and they were bringing them up from the yacht club...Peter never cared much about fishing but he was pretty wound up about seeing this big halibut pulled out of the truck with the forklift in the Middle of Nauset Marine parking lot and so was everyone else ! A great guy ,Peter will be finally missed.

I remember Peter's dad from Rock Harbor when he had the dragger the Squid, I met Peter back when Nauset Marine was still known as Nauset Auto Marine and in recent years had coffee with Pete at the Hole in One coffee Shop in Orleans daily when I was home from Florida and enjoyed talking old times from Rock Harbor days. I last saw him when I was home in December and remember the last time we talked he said I might not see you in the spring, Sad for me as I knew he was ready to move on . RIP Pete you will be missed from the group at The Hole in One

God bless, Pete. You were my favorite “partner in crime” in the Nauset Marine store when I was the store manager ten years ago. We had a lot of laughs and you were such a kind and wonderful person to work for - and with! Godspeed, my dear friend. Say hi to my dad for me, as you are surely reunited with your childhood buddies and beloved family in heaven. Blessings to your family who remain here. 🌺
