
Phyllis M. Myers of Brewster, MA, formerly of Waltham, MA died after a short illness at Epoch of Brewster on August 2, 2015. Born in Boston on February 5, 1924 the only child of Grace I. Smith. She lived in Cambridge, MA until her marriage to T. Gordon Myers. She then moved to Belmont, and then to Waltham to raise her family. She was happy to be a homemaker until her children entered school, she entered the workforce and happily found a job as a preschool aide.
Phyllis and Gordon retired to their summer home in Wellfleet while building a winter home in Venice, FL. After Gordon’s death in 1986, Phyllis took up permanent residence in Brewster. Always one to keep busy, she expanded her talents with her beautiful handmade quilts, card making with friends, even knitting socks. Her best talent was baking and feeding family and friends well.
She leaves behind a daughter Nancy Myers Sulin and her husband Thomas of Fitchburg and Wellfleet; a son Thomas and his wife Susan of Whitinsville, MA; six grandchildren Steven Sulin, Timothy Sulin, Andrew Myers, Amy Korenman, Josh Myers, and Hillary Myers; six great-grandchildren Alise and Siiri Sulin, Layla, Emiline, and Elliot Korenman, and Cayden Myers.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Orleans on August 20 at 11 AM. Donations in her memory may be made to the Church of the Holy Spirit.
