My sincere  condolences to the Cashin Family . I have some fond early childhood memories with Rich growing up in Westwood. 
As we got older  we went our separate ways , but when we did  see each other from time to time , it was just like where we left off because we had that connection.  My only regret is not spending more time with him later on in life. 
 Rest in Peace brother. 

PS  . Rich sent me this photo somewhat recently , I had no idea it existed .  He took a great pic indeed. 

Dear Cashin Family,

   I am so heartbroken to hear this news. Rich and I were extremely close in our 20’s - 30ish. We helped each other through a lot. I know how much he loved his mom and dad.  We have kept in contact over the years. He was always so easy to talk to, funny and just a great listener who got it. He was a true friend and cared so
Much for everyone. We texted on July 31st and I’m so happy we got to that time to connect. I will miss him deeply. He will always have a special place in my heart. 

May you rest in peace my dear cousin. I will miss your energy, laughter and good natured irreverence. You were larger than life and I loved you very much. You will be missed but never forgotten. 

Really heartbroken to hear this, Rich was one of the Great ones, true original and super talented when it came to singing. He was also one heck of a hard worker, we worked together when I was first starting out in business, He will be missed by all that were luck enough to have known him. RIP Brother

My heartfelt condolences to Jim and Lucile Cashin and Family.  Rich and I were talking about the band's CD review in the Calendar Magazine so long ago just recently and he remembers you both reading it. We were surprised and proud.  God Bless. 

Good bye Rich. Wounded Animal was the best thing we ever did together. Awesome memories. Will miss our conversations and your story telling.  Will miss you until I can't.
