Born to the late Ralph & Caroline Guida, on Feb. 25, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY. Rita, loving wife and mother, survived by eight children: Diane Plotke-Duane of KY, Donna Augusto of CT, Kathy Edmunds and Rita Schoonover of MA, & Caroline Giorgio, Douglas, John & Ralph Plotke of NY and her loving son-in-law Tim Conway. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Her husband’s Douglas Plotke and Gerald Wadey alone with one son, Stephen Plotke preceded her in death.
Her passion for gardening fueled her inspiration for drawing and painting. She enjoyed reading and playing card games.
The visitation is from 4-7pm on Friday, November 22, 2013 at Nickerson Funeral Home, 77 Eldredge Park Way, Orleans. The funeral service will follow the next day at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 23, 2013, at St Joan of Arc, 61 Canal Rd., Orleans.
