Sandra Jean Gay

Sandra was born in Taunton, MA, October 11,1949 the daughter of the late Horace Gay and Elsie (Florence) Gay. She was raised in Taunton and attended local schools. Sandra was a 1967 graduate of Taunton High School. She was employed as an Assembler with Haskon Corporation for several years until her retirement.

Sandra later moved to Brewster, MA where she met and married her husband, David Currier. They had a wonderful life together on Cape Cod where she enjoyed her flower garden, knitting, quilting, and traveling. Sandra took cruises around the world and especially loved her trips to Maine. It was in Maine where she enjoyed visiting the Casino and having lobster rolls. Sandra loved time with her precious cats, family and friends, most especially her adoring children and grandchildren. Time with family was her greatest joy. She will be dearly missed by all, especially those who knew her best.

Sandra is survived by her husband of 18 years, David Currier, loving daughters, Nancy Stavrou and husband Brad of Taunton, MA, Michelle Spence of Clarksville, TN and Susan Gay of Brewster, MA. She also leaves behind five grandchildren, Ryan Stavrou, Taylor Stavrou, Nevin Campbell, Nicholas Navarro and Christian Spence, and great-grandchildren Blake Aviyanna, MilenDior, Ellie,and Vinessio. She will also be dearly remembered by her sister Carol Sircello and her husband’s children, Robert Currier, Michael Currier, Thomas Currier and David Currier and her nieces Jessica and Erica.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours at Nickerson Funeral Home, 77 Eldredge Park Way, Orleans, MA on Thursday, August 28,2025 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. A service will be held in the funeral home chapel following visitation at 11:00 AM. Burial will be held at Brewster Memorial Cemetery in Brewster, MA.
