Seward was born in Brooklyn, NY on February 20, 1919. He was a graduate of Arlington High School and for many years was the owner/operator of a service station in Arlington. In 1982 he retired as a business consultant and he and Ruth moved to Cape Cod. Seward was a life member of the Mystic Valley Masonic Lodge as well as a member of the Rotary Club of Arlington and Chatham.
Seward leaves his son Fred and his wife Lettie of Brewster and Estero, FL, his daughters Carolyn Broderick and her husband Tom of Brewster, and Sherry Cote and her husband Doug of Downingtown, PA, as well as nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
