It was probably 1991 on March 17 that  Val and Frank Lord helped me put on a St. Patrick’s Day party at Katahdin Woods in Lexington. Frank and Val secured more than a dozen cuts of corned beef with all the needed carrots, turnip, and potatoes. They cooked up a storm for the couple of dozen lucky attendees in the complex club house. I hired a singer, a patient, who was suppose to sing Irish folk music but in reality was an Elvis impersonator. So we had Elvis with a Lilt!
I spent a week memorizing “Casey at the Bat” for the occasion.
Will never forgot that time or place. Ate corn beef for months after.
