Born in Bristol, CT to Arthur C. and Kathleen Marsh, Warren grew up in Syracuse, New York. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Alfred University and a Master of Science in Finance from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Warren is survived by his wife of 38 years, Carol, son Jeffrey and his wife Leah, and grandson Nathaniel, as well as his daughter, Kristin Catalfano, her husband Michael and their three children: Michael, Hailey and William. In addition, Warren leaves behind his mother Kathleen, sister Linda Wander and husband Jerry, and sister Pamela Santas and her husband Steven. In addition, he is survived by his mother-in-law, Lucille Ward and brother-in-law Robert, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father.
Warren began his career in the Management Development Program at GE Capitol. After nineteen years at Merrill Lynch in Stamford, CT, he moved to Cape Cod to establish the Trust and Asset Management Department at Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank. With great pride he oversaw the department as it grew to more than one billion dollars in assets under management, greatly exceeding industry standards. He was also responsible for Cape Cod Five Investment Services, the Bank’s brokerage operation, Government Banking, and the Financial Advisory and Retirement Services department. Warren was a Certified Financial Planner. He loved the time he spent with his bank family and delighted in nurturing and watching the growth of his employees.
A lifelong volunteer, Warren spent countless hours coaching his children. He was a former trustee of the Cape Cod Museum of Art as well as a long time trustee of the Cape Cod Symphony and Conservatory of Music and Arts, serving as their chairman. His latest role at the CCSCMA was chairman of the Oceanside Performing Arts Center. In addition, he was a trustee of the Cape Cod Five Charitable Foundation.
No person could be more full of joy, happiness and love of life. Warren cherished his time on Cape Cod, loved the evenings spent on Nauset Spit with his wonderful friends, golfing at Eastward Ho! Country Club, the people with whom he spent his workday and those he grew to admire and respect in his volunteer capacities. But most of all, he adored his family, loving each moment spent with them. A true bright light has left this world.
The family wishes to express our deepest gratitude to the wonderful staff of 7C at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital. The depth of our heartfelt appreciation for the loving care, friendship and laughter cannot even be adequately expressed.
A Memorial Visitation will be held at Nickerson Funeral Home, 77 Eldredge Park Way, Orleans, MA on Wednesday, July 15 from 4-7 PM. A Memorial Service will take place in Warren’s honor on Thursday, July 16 at 10 AM at the Federated Church of Orleans, 162 Main Street, East Orleans, MA.

There will be so very many things that we will miss about Warren, but none more than his joyous and infectious laugh.
