Winifred Mary Barber

Winnie worked as a nurse along with her husband Hugh in his home based surgical practice. Winnie was also the director of volunteer services at the Jamaica Hospital Nursing Home in Queens, NY.

She is survived by her son Hugh and Ann Barber and their children Tim, Emily, Beth and her fiancé T.J.; daughter Mary and Bill Tanis and their children Gil his wife Shea, and their son Jackson, James, Margi and her fiancé Drew; son Robert and Kristen Barber and their children Aaron and Kara and Robert’s children Ben and Haley; daughter Alice and Tom Guariglio and their children Brenda, Dan, and Corinne, son Ed Barber “Uncle Ed”, her sisters Maureen, and Rosetta, and many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the Nickerson Funeral Home, 77 Eldredge Park Way, Orleans, MA.
