Albert T. Schillaci

Albert T. Schillaci, 96, of St. Augustine, a former resident of Ormond Beach and Port Orange, passed away on April 6, 2012 at the Clyde E. Lassen State Veterans Nursing Home in St. Augustine. Albert was born on March 6, 1916 in Jersey City, NJ to the late John and Josephine (Sammartino) Schillaci. He was a United States Army Veteran, serving with the 7th Field Artillery Battalion. Albert was a member of the Elks Lodge, the Disabled American Veterans, and the VFW. He enjoyed the beach, golfing, traveling, and playing cards. Albert is survived by his daughter, Donna LaTorre (Guy); his daughter, Kim Schillaci ; his sister, Anita Vitale; his grandchildren, John Paul Schillaci, Christopher LaTorre, and Jessica Hudgins; his daughter-in-law, Gen Schillaci; and numerous nieces and nephews. Albert was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine, his son, Albert T. Schillaci; his brothers, Joseph and Sam Schillaci; and his sisters, Millie Cali and Ann Girone. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 14, 2012 in Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 548 N. Nova Rd., Ormond Beach, FL 32174. Interment will follow the service at Volusia Memorial Park, 550 N. Nova Rd., Ormond Beach, FL 32174. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Albert to the Alzheimer Association, 225 N.
