Arthur Anthony Zoeckler, of Ormomd Beach, Florida, born on August 25, 1932 in Utica, New York, to the late Louis T. and Rose Zoeckler, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family at age 85 on April 20, 2018. Arthur served in the Air Force as an Aero-Medic from 1952 to 1956. He graduated from Ithaca college in 1961 and was recognized by the Oracle Honor Society. He started his career at Good Shepard Hospital in Syracuse, New York, as a Physical Therapist and later the Director of Rehabilitation at Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach until he retired in 1991. Arthur was the loving husband to Mary Ann Young, a dedicated father of five and an amazing grandfather of four. He is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years; her sister Grace Young; sons Kevin, Darren (Margo), Brian and Daniel (Krista); daughter, Lisa Zoeckler Sabin (Christopher); and grandchildren, Julie, Lily, Harley, and Aurora. He also leaves behind his adored dog, Bonnie. He was a member of: Prince of Peace Catholic Church, St. Francis of Assisi, Knights of Columbus since 1955, Nantahala hiking club, Franklin, NC, and a volunteer at Franklin Gem and Mineral Society. Mass will be at 10:00 AM on April 26, 2018; Art's celebration of life will immediately follow at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Prince of Peace Church.
