It is with profound sadness and loving remembrance that the family of Bonnie Perrone announces her peaceful passing on May 12, 2026, at the age of 83. Bonnie’s gentle spirit, warm heart, and quiet grace will be deeply missed by all who had the blessing of knowing and loving her.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Joe and Mae Coalmer. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Charles Perrone, with whom she shared 28 treasured years of marriage filled with love, companionship, and countless memories.
She was a loving and proud mother to RD (Debbie) Spratt and Jill E. (Jeffrey) Patrick; and a caring stepmother to Laura (Nick) Greer, Amy (Rick) Rugg, Steve Perrone, and Toni N. (Jeff) Wright. Her family was the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Bonnie’s love continues through her grandchildren, Robert Spratt, John Mark Spratt, and Wyatt O’Steen; step-grandchildren Amanda (Shea) Drury, Johnathan (Patty) Maudlin, Justin (Vivian) Greer, Ryan Greer, Nathan (Mary) Henwood, and Ricky Rugg; and her adored step-great-grandchildren Sarina Geroski-Greer, Mira Geroski-Greer, Autumn Henwood, Dawson Henwood, Ember Henwood, and Teddy Drury. She is also survived by her dear sister, Diane (David) Schultz, along with many extended family members and treasured friends whose lives were brightened by her kindness and caring nature.
Bonnie retired from the State Attorney’s Office, Seventh Judicial Circuit, after many years of dedicated service. She carried herself with compassion, dignity, and quiet strength, touching lives not through grand gestures, but through her sincerity, warmth, and thoughtful heart.
She loved deeply and simply. Bonnie found happiness in peaceful moments — sharing pancakes with loved ones, sitting quietly on the porch watching birds glide overhead, seeing fish ripple through the canal waters, and smiling at the occasional manatee passing gently by. She was an avid reader who believed there was always something new to learn, and she encouraged others to keep growing in knowledge and understanding throughout life.
Those who knew Bonnie will remember her as a woman of grace, tenderness, and unwavering love for her family. Her presence brought comfort, her smile brought warmth, and her memory will forever remain a cherished part of the hearts she leaves behind.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you honor Bonnie’s memory by reading a good book, learning something new, and continuing to expand your knowledge — a simple and beautiful tribute to a woman who so deeply appreciated life’s quiet joys.
