

Funeral Service for Charles (Charlie) Reihl who passed away on January 31 at Florida Hospice Care Oceanside Inpatient Unit will be 2pm Saturday February 5 at the Chapel of Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, Ormond Beach. Interment will follow at Volusia Memorial Park with Navy Military Honors. Visitation will be Friday at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home from 6pm-8pm. Mr. Reihl was born on November 12, 1933 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Carroll, Sr. and Charlotte Reihl. Charles proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1952 through 1960 (active service 1952-1956) where he served on five different vessels and one submarine. Charles was a member of the Ormond Beach Masonic Lodge for 40 years as a Third Degree Mason as well as a member of the Ormond Yacht Club.
Charles moved to Florida in 1956 where he met and married his wife of 51 years, Betty. Charles worked with several local electrical contractors in the area. In 1986, Charles and his son, Ben, formed Reihl Electric. Charlie was an instructor for the Daytona Beach Electrical Apprenticeship Program for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Betty; daughter Monica (John) Blanton (Daniel and Katy), Ormond Beach; daughter Cheryl (David) Gay (Cheyenne), Bensalem, PA; son, Ben (Margaret) Reihl, Ormond Beach and son John (Nicole) Reihl (Sarah), Ormond Beach along with many extended family members and close friends.
