It is with a heavy heart that I need to inform you of the passing of my beloved husband Clifford A. Clancey on June 24, 2025. He was preceded in death by the passing of his parents Clifford A. and Henrietta (Van Dam) Clancey. He was born on June 30, 1946, in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ. He was educated in the local schools and attended Rider College, Trenton, NJ, where he received a Bachelor Degree in Business Management. During his whole career he specialized in Hi-Tech sales.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Cecile L. Gravel-Clancey; his stepson, Stephan Gravel, Manchester, NH; his son Clifford A. (Amy) Clancey and grandsons, Clifford T. and Ryan Clancey, Los Angeles, CA; his brother John (Ginny) Clancey, Winchester, VA; his niece Tara (Jonathan) Newell, Purceville, VA; nephew Sean (Tiffany) Clancey, Carver, MA; close cousin Dr. John (Dr. Dorothy) Van Dam, Washington, D.C.; his brothers and sister-in-laws, Amanda, Oscar, Noella, Andre, Jeanette, Madeline, Lucille, and Carole all of QC; great nieces and other relatives, friends and neighbors.
Cliff was a Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Council 13571; member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary; and volunteered at pantries, OLOL and Second Harvest. He was an avid sports fan and car enthusiast.
A Catholic Funeral Mass celebrating his life will on July 12, 2025, at 10:45 a.m. Basilica of St. Paul, 317 Mullally St., Daytona Beach, FL. Cremation is being handled by Volusia Memorial Funeral Home-Ormond Beach. A private interment ceremony will be held at a later date at the family's discretion.
