Doreen Nicholls

Doreen Nicholls, of Ormond Beach passed away January 23, 2015. She was born in Detroit, MI to the late George and Harriet Wedge. Doreen and husband Robert came to the area in 1985 from Westland, MI. They lived in the Bear Creek neighborhood in Ormond Beach for more than 20 years. Doreen enjoyed raising her children and being around family; she also made and collected ceramics. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

Doreen’s husband Robert passed away in 2008, they were married 65 years. Her sister Moyra Huggard and brother Ronald Wedge also preceded her in death.

Doreen also leaves behind her two daughters; Judy Fortin (George) of Livonia, MI and Joyce Raszkowski (Danny) of Brighton, MI; grandchildren Nancy Renning, Ronald Fortin (Kelly); great grandchildren, Jordan, Molly, Jesse and Brook; great-great granddaughter Sophia.

A visitation will be held January 27, 2015 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm in the chapel of Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 548 N. Nova Rd., Ormond Beach, FL. Funeral services will begin following the visitation at 1:00 pm. Entombment will follow at Volusia Memorial Park, Ormond Beach.
