Doris Brown

Doris Mae "SIS" Brown passed away Wednesday February 22, 2012 at her home in Ormond Beach. Doris was born on March 7, 1957 in Milford Delaware and moved to Florida with her family in the 70’s where she graduated from high school in 1982.

Doris was a very generous person who always had time for her many friends, neighbors and family. She was also an animal lover. Pets were a part of her family. She found a passion for cooking; no matter how many people were attending she could feed them all. Her favorite vacation spot was in Maggie Valley North Carolina where she spent many peaceful days and made numerous friends. Her friends, family and animals made her life complete.

Doris is predeceased by her mother Elsie and father Dale Parker of Ormond Beach. She is survived by her husband of 21 years Mark W. Brown, 2 brothers Roland ( Gina ) Marker of Salisbury Md. and Charles Marker of Holly Hill, a sister Pamela King also of Holly Hill, two nieces Kristin Brown & Kellie Marker and four nephews Chris & Josh Foster and Shane & Charles Marker also her best friend Junior a big black cat.

She asked to be remembered as saying that everyone has held a special place in her heart, good times & bad you will always be with her. Love always & forever.

A private service will be held at an undetermined date, in lieu of flowers any donations can be made to the Volusia County Humane Society.
