Dorothy L. Lokitz

Dorothy L. Lokitz, 90, of Ormond Beach passed away February 1, 2019. Dorothy was born in Pittsburgh PA to Fred and Cora Main on January 7, 1929. Dorothy moved to FL in 1961 and began her career with Publix Supermarkets which spanned 32 years. She enjoyed bowling, traveling with her husband, visiting the Casinos, sun bathing on the beach and watching people. She also collected porcelain dolls and was an avid animal lover. Dorothy was preceeded in death by her sons, Bruce L Smock and Mark W. Smock; grandson, Shane S. Slusarz; brothers, George Main and Fred Main and sister, Mildred Main. Left to cherish her memory is her husband Al Lokitz whom she married on January 24, 2002; sons, John Slusarz and Gary (Linda) Smock; step-daughter, Irene Muddiman, stepson, Don (Bridget) Owen, daughter-in-law, Terry Smock and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by her “adopted sons”, Gary Gombart, Brian Anderson and Troy (Tammy) Lerdo. Friends may call 12:00-1:00 pm Wednesday February 6 at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home 548 N Nova Road Ormond Beach. Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 PM. Interment will be in Volusia Memorial Park. Long lost friend of my mom SKIP since they were 7 in Pgh. Some KFC for lunch and a haircut was in order last visit. Sorry the visits were not more often mom is 89 and not getting around as much. Loved Dottie and Al when we use to hang out together. Always a class act and good friend. You will be missed Dottie xxx

Christmas Day 2018 was amazing. She so enjoyed being with the Family and Boy did she eat that day. What a classy Lady and a joy to be around. I celebrate her Life ❤️💜
