Elizabeth Sperlich, (always known as Betty) 82, Holly Hill, peacefully passed away Friday, February 11, 2022, at Halifax Hospice, Ormond Beach. She was born November 29, 1939 in Winchester, Virginia and moved to Port Orange when she was 9.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Richard; sister, Sandy Bracewell, North Carolina; sons, Michael Troy, Holly Hill and Bryan (Bobbin), Ormond Beach; daughter, Pamela (Steve), Ormond Beach; grandchildren, Melissa, California, Michael, Colorado and Karma, Ormond Beach; and her precious cats Max, Minnie, Miss Kitty and MC.
Betty was a stay at home Mom until the kids were in school. She then was an Office Manager at Burnup & Sims for many years. After the company sold, Betty began working at Halifax Health where she retired at the age of 62.
Betty enjoyed spending time with her family especially with her grandchildren. She enjoyed reading James Patterson books, crossword puzzles, huge fan of Miami Dolphins, huge fan of Nascar (Truex) and taking walks at the park so she could feed the ducks, turtles and fish. She loves animals especially her babies (cats) who she spoiled daily.
Celebration of Life will be Thursday, February 17, from 3:00 – 6:00 pm at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home located at 548 North Nova Road, Ormond Beach, FL 32174
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Halifax Hospice of Ormond Beach or Halifax Humane Society.
