Geoffrey John Bennett

Geoff is survived by his wife of 42 years, Lori, and his children, Simon (London) and Paula (Denmark) and two grandchildren he never met, Haley and Lukas; the loves of his life, Brittany Merchant (David) and Noah in Florida. Loved by all who knew him (except telemarketers!), and everyone (especially females) loved his accent and charm.

As a child growing up in London, his playground was the rubble of bombed out buildings as a result of WWII. As an adult, he was a charming insurance salesman who traveled the globe and landed in the US permanently at the age of 31. In later years, he sold pharmaceuticals, referring to himself as a “drug dealer” with his twisted sense of humor.

Everyone who knew him loved him. Our family was honored to have shared our lives with this wonderful man, who was larger than life until cancer took hold of him. But he had a great attitude and fought bravely for so long, until he just couldn’t fight any longer.

Save the date for his Celebration of Life – near what would have been his 77th birthday (he swore he’d make it to his 80th!) Saturday, 9/13/25, from 2 pm to 5 pm. Details to follow.
