

Gerard Tremblay, 83, of Ormond Beach passed away peacefully at Halifax Medical Center surrounded by his loving family on December 12, 2010. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Gerard was born in Lebanon, New Hampshire on May 13, 1927. He married his wife Phyllis on June23, 1946 at Sacred Heart Church in Lebanon, New Hampshire. They moved to Florida in 1969 and made Ormond Beach their home. Gerard was a devout catholic and member of the congregation of Prince of Peace Catholic Church for 31 years. He was a journeyman carpenter for over 50 years and a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners local # 1725. He was a man of good character and a good provider, building two homes in which to raise his family. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, bicycling and fishing in the boat that he had built. His memory will be cherished by his surviving family members; Phyllis his wife of 64 years, two sons, two daughters, five grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren. A Mass to celebrate his life will be held Friday, December 17, 2010 at 1 p.m. in the chapel at Prince of Peace Catholic Church.
