Gilbert Francis

A celebration of life for Gilbert Francis, who passed away January 27, 2011, will be Friday, February 4, 2011, 11:00 am at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 156 Florida Park Drive N., Palm Coast with the Reverend Dr. Ron Watson as the celebrant. The family will be receiving friends for an hour prior to the celebration, from 10:00 am till 11:00 am, at the church. The entombment will be at Volusia Memorial Park, 550 N. Nova Road, Ormond Beach, FL.

Mr. Francis was born in Clarendon, Jamaica and immigrated to the United States in 1967. He resided in the Bronx, N.Y. prior to moving to Palm Coast, FL in 1987. He was a Bus Driver in Kingston, Jamaica and retired a Supervisor for Eastchester Park Nursing Home, Bronx, N.Y. He was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Palm Coast and loved dancing, reading and driving.

Mr. Francis leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 49 years, Francella; two sons, Daniel and Byron; one daughter, Angela; one brother, Archie; two sisters, Olive and Darlene; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Monica.
