A funeral service for Gonzalo Garcia, 94, who passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2011, will be 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 548 N. Nova Road, Ormond Beach, with Father Frank Zammit as the officiant. The family will be receiving friends for an hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The interment will be at Volusia Memorial Park, 550 N. Nova Road, Ormond Beach immediately following the service.
Mr. Garcia was born in Havanna, Cuba. He moved to Palm Coast in 1985 from Wallingford, Connecticut where he retired as a factor worker.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 67 years, Carmen; son, Julian (Irma) Garcia, CT; brother, Mario (Amelia) Garcia, Miami, FL; grandson, Teddy Garcia and one great grandchild.
Arrangements are under the care and trust of Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, Ormond Beach, FL.
