

Grace Lucille Stadinger Gulick left this world to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, March 6, 2011. She was born to William and Jenny Henry Stadinger in Quakertown, PA., May 26, 1920. She is predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Arthur Dyer Gulick and her one brother Robert Stadinger. Grace is survived by daughters, Ardyth (Doug Stanley), and Linda (Gary Giovanni); granddaughters, Melinda Stanley (Joseph Craft), Maret Stanley (Frank Reynolds), Meridyth Stanley Shaw, Elizabeth Giovanni (Trace Pendry), and Erica Giovanni; great grandchildren, Stephanie Reynolds (Brent Jamison), Wyatt Reynolds, Carson Pendry, Alexander Pendry, Isabelle Shaw and Zoe Shaw; great great grandchildren, Michael Jamison and Carleigh Jamison. She also has many precious nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Grace worked briefly as a switchboard operator, in payroll personnel, and as a secretary. When she married, she loved her life as a homemaker, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and then as a great great grandmother. She was an exceptional hostess for her husband’s businesses and for many family gatherings. She was always gracious in extending her hand in love and hospitality. She and her husband were in the motel and the real estate business in Ormond Beach.
Grace loved golfing and made many dear friends through this sport. She and her husband, Art were also blessed by God to have the ability and time to travel to see God’s amazing creation by motorcoach throughout the U.S., Canada and Mexico. They visited almost every foreign country during their marriage but a highlight for her was to go to the Holy Land.
Grace was a member of the Captain James Ormond Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution for over 25 years.
Grace loved the Lord and His Word and was known as a “prayer warrior” for her family and special friends.
While living in this area, she and her husband were members of First United Methodist then Riverview Methodist Church of Ormond Beach, Central Baptist Church in Daytona Beach and then Riverbend Community Church in Ormond Beach. She was actively involved in BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) where her faith grew by God’s grace and through active study. She was blessed to have made many lifelong precious friends among the women there.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 12th at 11:00 a.m. at Riverbend Community Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Riverbend Academy for the “Gulick Memorial Scholarship,” 2080 W. Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach, FL. 32174. Arrangements are under the care and trust of Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, Ormond Beach.
