James Howell passed away September 26, 2012; he was born March 13, 1938 to Andrew and Theresa Howell in Brooklyn, NY as one of fifteen children. James served in the US Navy. He enjoyed fishing and his dogs Wilson, Gizmo, and Brutus. He retired as a firefighter for the FDNY.
A beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather he is survived by his sons Matt and James, Jr, daughters Jacqueline Moore and Mary Kelley, seven grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday October 2 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at the Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 548 N. Nova Rd. Ormond Beach, FL. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday October 3 at 9:30AM at the Volusia Memorial Park, 550 N. Nova Rd, Ormond Beach, FL.
