Jane Ermitage

Jane Ermitage, beloved Mother, sister, Aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2026, following a long illness. She was 97 years old. Jane was born on June 21, 1929, and grew up in the Midwest. She spent many years living in western Springs Illinois, where she raised her family. Jane‘s greatest joy in life was being a mother. She devoted herself to raising her two children, Mark Mason, and Cheryl Solt, and took great pride in her family.

Jane‘s faith was an important part of who she was a lifelong Presbyterian; she faithfully served as both a deacon and an elder at several churches throughout her lifetime. In her later years, she was a member of Lighthouse Church in Ormond Beach, Florida.

Jane also had a love for travel and adventure over the years. She enjoyed visiting many beautiful places, including Switzerland, Canada, and Hawaii, among others Jane spent her final years in Ormond Beach, Florida near her daughter, Cheryl and son-in-law Michael. Jane was proceeded in death by her beloved son Mark Mason, who passed away in February 2026. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Solt and her husband Michael, her sister and brother-in-law Sandra and Wayne Cunningham of Bradenton Florida and many beloved nieces and nephews in Colorado and Florida.

Jane will be remembered for her deep faith, her generous spirit, and the love she gave so freely throughout her long and meaningful life. She leaves behind a lifetime of memories and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
