Joan J. Cordaro, 86, known to her friends and family as Joyce, departed this earthly world on May 28, 2020, and entered into Eternal Rest with our Heavenly Father and other loved ones. Joyce, was born in Alabama, but re-located to the Daytona Beach area as a young woman. In 1967, Joyce married her husband Nick and they embarked on a journey of what we now know as “shared” or “blended” families. Joyce and Nick raised their children in the Daytona Beach area and were married until Nick went to be with the Lord in 2001. After Nicks death, Joyce continued in her role as a lifelong homemaker, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Among all of the roles that Joyce performed, her happiest and the most important was that of a grandmother and great grandmother. Joyce adored her grandchildren and they always knew how special and important they were in her life. Joyce was an excellent cook and all of her friends and family were sure to never miss a home cooked meal while at her home. Joyce enjoyed Bingo and Thrift Store shopping where she never left without finding a treasure she could eventually share with someone else. Joyce is sure to have found her MOST amazing treasures when she entered into the heavenly gates of the Lord’s home. Joyce will be deeply missed by her loved ones but we know she is rejoicing with those who went before her and what a reunion that must have been. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Nick, her son Dayne Hatfield, her daughters, Beverly Bury Cordaro, Kathryn Cordaro Montesano, her grandson, Shawn Livingston, and granddaughter, Heather Hatfield. Those left to cherish her memory are her brothers, Norman, John, Eudon and Dale, daughters, Sherry Kay Carbonell, Brenda Hatfield Platt (Gary), Louana Cordaro and former daughter in law, Charmaine Ramsey who helped provide for her care, her sons, Matt Clements (Darlene)and Josh Hatfield along with grandchildren, Lisa, Michelle, Rod, Michael, David, Shannon, Christi, Jason, Nick,Jennifer, Donna Marie, Michael, Jennifer, Charlie, Dusty, and a host of great grandchildren.
