John T. McGlashan

The family will be having a private Memorial Service. John was born on May 29, 1927 in Kearney, NJ.

He was a veteran of the US Navy serving during WWII. John retired in 1984 after 31 years as an Engineer for Rockwell International, which is now Boeing Aircraft. While employed by Rockwell International he made 4 recommendations to improve working conditions there and received bonuses and awards for those recommendations. After retirement he worked for the Anaheim Angels and the Anaheim Rams all in California.

He was a Member of the Masonic Lodge in Redondo, CA and attended Trinity Presbyterian in Palm Coast.

He enjoyed golfing and bowling.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, June; Daughter, June Zappen of Ormond Beach; Grandson, Trenton Zappen of CA and great-grandson, Aidan Zappen also of CA.

He was preceded in death by his parents William and Elizabeth Ballantyne.

Memorial Donations may be made in his name to The Alzheimer's Association.
