

He was the owner of California Closet Company in Volusia, Flagler and St. John's Counties, Florida. Joseph served in the U.S. Navy Submarine Division and was assigned to the USS TILEFISH. He was an active Citizen Volunteer with the City of Ormond Beach Police Department as a Certified Parking Enforcement Specialist and also enjoyed volunteering in the 'Dads and Grandads for Schools Success" tutoring program. Joseph was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 3800 and the Fraternal Order of Elks in Ormond Beach.
Joseph's passion for life and love of his wife, Sherry was always shared with the people that entered his world. His "pet project" was the center island butterfly garden that he and his neighbors designed and maintained in their subdivision. With the help of two special children, Brody and Haylee the butterfly garden was always full of both colorful flowers beautiful butterflies. He thoroughly enjoyed following his grandson Austin's progress in playing hockey and his dream was that one day he would watch him become a professional hockey player.
He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Sherry A. Erbe along with his children, Kevin Erbe and Kristin Mocarski of North Haven, Ct., Keith Erbe, East Hampton, Ct. and Wendy Withycombe, Kensington, Ct., sister, Deborah Lehner, Tribune, Ks. and brother Dennis Weeks, Tullahoma, Tn.
in addition to his grandchildren, Tyler and Shelby Flower, Kevin and Steven Erbe, Myles and Morissa Mocarski and Austin Withycombe. Preceded in death was his daughter, Lisa Flower, Wallingford, Ct. and parents, Joseph B. Erbe, Sr. and Margaret Pawson.
