Kenneth Junior LaGrotta, 87, of Daytona Beach, Florida passed away peacefully on Christmas Day, December 25, 2011. Born in Chicago, Illinois, he served 20 years in the U.S. Navy and was a WW II veteran. Upon retirement from the U.S. Navy, he pursued and completed a second career as a police officer in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He was a member of the Shriners and Freemasons. Kenneth was predeceased by his wife, Jean Marilyn LaGrotta, and two sons, Kenny and Ray LaGrotta. He is survived by six children, Linda Garrenton, Terry Mayner, Randy LaGrotta, Larry LaGrotta, Leslie LaGrotta, and Cheryl Anderson. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Dawn, Michelle, Kenneth, Ashley, Jennifer, Austin, Christina, Mollie, Andrew; and several great-grandchildren.
