Luella M. Pigliacampi

Luella M. Pigliacampi, 89, of Ormond Beach, FL passed away peacefully on September 11, 2026. She was born October 24, 1936, in Fulton, NY to parents Alexander and Hazel (Thomas) Summerville. Luella grew up in Hannibal, NY and graduated from Cato-Meridian Central High School. Luella worked at General Electric in Syracuse, NY for a period of time where she met the love of her life and future husband, Ronald N. Pigliacampi, a Mechanical Engineer at General Electric and was a veteran of World War II in the U.S. Army. Ronald and Luella married and had 3 children.

After Luella and Ronald moved from Syracuse, NY to Ormond Beach, FL she loved being a homemaker for her family. Luella’s husband, her 3 children and the Catholic faith were the most important to her. She was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Luella was loving and always a patient, forgiving mom. In later years Luella and Ronald loved to travel and take cruises. Luella was a cancer survivor.

Luella is survived by her children; David Pigliacampi, Sr., AZ, Jeff (Darcy) Pigliacampi, FL, Lisa Shavatt (Jack Penny), FL. There are 6 grandchildren: Nicole Selby, David Pigliacampi Jr., Lance Shavatt, Alexa Pigliacampi, Marlena Pigliacampi, and Logan Pigliacampi as well as 2 great-grandchildren Candace Selby and Kelsey Selby. She is also survived by her sisters; Lela (Summerville) Keysor, MA, Linda (Summerville) Davis, NY and sister-laws Cele Pigliacampi, NY, Jean Bryson, NY, Betty Pigliacampi, PA and brother-in-law Jack Pigliacampi, PA.

Luella is predeceased by her husband of 52 years Ronald N. Pigliacampi, her parents Alexander and Hazel Summerville, and her brother William O. Summerville.

Luella wishes were honored with a private service. Luella was a blessing in so many people’s lives and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her. She is now reunited again with the love of her life Ronald and dancing with the angels.
